LITTER BORN 2.5.2019
sire: Oceanbourn Guardian Of Islay (Pablo)
dam: PAIM-T RTK2 Goldentroll's Song Of Ice And Fire (Sansa)
Sansa and Pablo had 6 healthy sable puppies at the beginning of May. The puppies were born on day 61 of the pregnancy, after a natural mating and a pregnancy that went well. Sansa's labour took quite a long time because the puppies were large, and sadly the last one, a girl, was stillborn. All the other six puppies were strong and vigorous and grew fast. Sansa was a good mother, and she had plenty of milk for the first four weeks, after which she weaned the puppies.
One girl was found to have a urinary tract infection before going to her new home; it was cleared up with a course of antibiotics, but otherwise the puppies were healthy and thriving throughout their early weeks. The puppies' sire Pablo came to see them before they left for their new homes. The puppies were well socialised, eye-examined (Sari Jalomäki, Evidensia), health-checked, puppy-tested (Pekka Korri, kennel Tending) and DNA-tested for DM and MDR1 (Laboklin).
We didn't keep a puppy from this litter ourselves, but Riemumielen Tulen Ja Jään Laulu, Rose, is our co-owned dog and lives in Lohja.
I wish the puppies a happy life in their new homes!
