Temperament description
The Rough Collie Riemu (FI RTVA BH Ruffenuff Peppermint Twist) was a sweet and happy tricolour female, deeply attached to her own people and always ready to train and be busy. She was easy to take anywhere. In the pack Riemu was sociable and easy-going with the other dogs and the cats. With strangers she was a little reserved, but friendly and kind. Riemu was a fast and agile, versatile and active sporting dog. Riemu was a Finnish Rally Obedience Champion (FI RTVA), and with that title she became my first sport champion.

Riemu had no fear of noises or surfaces. She was eager to please and worked for both treats and toys in training. With Riemu we did rally obedience, obedience, working-dog tracking and agility. In her active years Riemu competed in the master class in rally obedience, the elite class in obedience and class 1 in agility. In working-dog tracking she was nearly ready for trials, but I never got as far as trials with her, as other sports and the litter took up all my time.
Riemu's wonderful parents are her sire HK3 Ruffenuff Fokker Fellowship, Dani, and her dam HK1 TK1 Ruffenuff Much Too Much, Femma.
On 2.4.2016 Riemu gave birth to the first Riemumielen litter (Karhunpennut) and was an excellent mother to her puppies. From the litter of seven, Vappu (Riemumielen Hunajatassu) stayed at home with us, and Lyyti (Riemumielen Metsän Haltija) was previously a co-owned dog.

Riemu took the SmartDog Cognition test on 25.2.2017 (aged 4). More about the test: www.smartdog.fi. Overall assessment from the test (full report available on request):
Riemu is not particularly interested in strangers, but she isn't afraid of them or avoid them either. Riemu actively explores a new space. Riemu is very eager and motivated to work and concentrates really well on everything she does. According to the test, Riemu is an impulsive dog: the cylinder test result and the V-fence test say the same thing. Waiting is also difficult for Riemu, as is typical for this type of dog. Riemu also makes quick, sudden decisions, for example in the gestures section, where she makes some mistakes at first even though she reads gestures well. Riemu is more of an independent problem-solver, and she has a good memory result even though waiting was hard for her. Riemu can also imitate a human demonstration very well in the social learning task.

Voisi olla hieman vahvempi luusto. Hyvin kulm. edestä ja takaa hieman pihdissä. Liikkuu vaivattomasti ja kantoi häntänsä turhan korkealla.

2,5 year-old tri bitch, medium sized. Quite a long head, but quite fine. Nice eye and expression. Ears are well placed but prick-ears. Lacks underjaw and rather pointed in the muzzle. Angulations good front and rear. She has moderate bone and her feet could be tighter. Nice reach of neck, good topline, though a touch long in the loin. Quite erratic in rear and crosses slightly in front on the move.
